There's a good interview with the Archbishop of Canterbury in the New Statesman today, if you are interested.

About 20 of us turned up yesterday in Seal Rec for the first of our "picnics in the park". The more active played games which were probably distant cousins of cricket and lacrosse (though with no discernable rules or teams as far as this onlooker could tell) and there were parachute games for those less inclined to team sports. Thankfully it was also quite ok to sit in the shade and chat!
A great time was had by all. Thank you, Nicky, for bringing the games equipment.
There will be two more picnics - Aug 8th and Aug 29th - both from 4 -5.30 in Seal Rec (or possibly in the hall if it is wet - please check notices/website if the weather looks dodgy).

10 people and 6 dogs successfully circumnavigated Bewl Water on Saturday. The people walked 13 miles around the water; the dogs must have walked at least 45, and quite a lot of that was in the water!
A great time was had by all, and we were delighted to be met at the end by Hilary, Jill, Barbara and Helen who had brought cake and tea to replace the calories we had burnt off... Thank you!
